Death Match 666
Wednesday evening saw no shortage of blood, sweat or beer in Brooklyn, as Tender Trap hosted Death Match 666, its sixth installment of no-ring, hardcore wrestling. The Manx—on tour from Los Angeles—and local faves Tight Fright set the perfect mood for an epic battle between "The Hipster Heartthrob" Casanova Valentine and Jeff Cannonball, refereed by “The Boy Diva” Rick Cataldo. Casanova Valentine prevailed in a brutal match that featured malevolent use of fluorescent light bulbs, thumbtacks, and a garbage can, which even spilled out into the bar to the surprise of unsuspecting patrons. Death Match returns to Tender Trap on December 13th with Valentine facing off against legend "The Bulldozer" Matt Tremont.
